Clifton Crews called for Horse Rescue

On October 25, 2025, Clifton Fire Protection District (CFPD) crews were dispatched to reports of a horse stuck in a canal. With the combined efforts and resources of CFPD, Lower Valley Fire District, Grand Junction Fire Department, Mesa County Sheriff's Office, and Girardi's Towing, the horse was safely rescued and transported to a veterinarian for evaluation.

CFPD would like to thank all the assisting agencies for their collaboration and support, making this rescue successful.
